Founded in 2010, DeJohnette Martial Arts Academy has provided top-quality karate instruction to children and adults for 13 years. Transitioning to a virtual martial arts training program in 2024, we are very optimistic about the future growth of the Moo Duk Kwan® Federation and the art of Soo Bahk Do®.

DeJohnette Martial Arts Academy has been integrated into Soo Bahk Do® Institute to reach a global audience of potential students and encourage them to find a studio near them where they can train in a physical environment.

Master DeJohnette

Master Darno Von DeJohnette, the senior instructor at DeJohnette Martial Arts Academy, is a 4th Degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor in the U.S. Soo Bahk Do® Moo Duk Kwan Federation®. His Dan Bon is 44400.

Master DeJohnette began training in Soo Bahk Do® in 1999 under the guidance of Thomas M. Thai, SBN. He was promoted to Cho Dan in 2006, E Dan in 2008, and Sam Dan in 2011. 2014, he tested for Sa Dan and was promoted to Master in 2015. DeJohnette, BSBN, is now a disciple under the leadership of Daymon Kenyon, SBN.
